Ok, now on to the fun stuff! Here's what I received in the mail:
One of the things I love about the K-Cups is the ability to fix just one glass without feeling like you are wasting a lot of product. Using the Keurig brewer is super easy, just drop the K-cup into the holder, close it and press brew! No measuring, no stirring and no messy clean up!
Here is a picture of our Keurig and the 3 K-cups samples I received. My husband is a truck driver and we found him a small Keurig to keep on his truck. This ensures his truck will not be covered with coffee grounds.
The 3 flavors I received were Vitamin Burst Acai Berry Iced Fruit Brew, Snapple Peach Iced Tea and Donut House Collection Sweet & Creamy Regular Iced Coffee. I was most excited to try the Peach Iced Tea so I started with that one.
I took the holder out of the Keurig and rinsed it well to make sure there was no traces of my husband's coffee mixing in with my tea. I placed the tumbler filled with ice on the brewer. One important thing to take note of: DO NOT USE A GLASS TUMBLER. One of the mistakes I made was not changing the size of the cup before I pushed the Brew button so I had a little overflow. Oops!
I did add 1 packet of Truvia sweetener for my taste. I really enjoyed the Peach Iced Tea. It has a very strong Peach flavor and I love that. It reminded me of eating fresh peaches when I was a child. It was very refreshing and I definitely could have drank another glass! There are several different flavors and I'm looking forward to trying them! You can check out all the flavors here.
Next I tried the Vitamin Burst Acai Berry Iced Fruit Brew. This time I remembered to change the cup size so there was no overflow! I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly sweet or too tart. I'm not one who usually likes fruit drinks and after a few drinks it was a little too much for me. My husband, however, really enjoyed it and finished it off for me. He highly recommends it! One tip he wanted to be sure and have me pass on is to rinse the holder after brewing the fruit brew unless you want your coffee fruit flavored!
As I said at the beginning, I'm not a coffee drinker so my husband had agreed to try the Iced Coffee for me. However he never got a chance to do so before he had to leave. Being the professional that I am, I decided to at least try it so I can give my honest opinion of it and let you know what it tasted like!
I was pleased that it did not taste as bitter as regular coffee does to me. I definitely tasted the coffee but the sweetness and the creaminess came through more than the coffee flavor. It's still not really for me but I think my husband will really enjoy this one as well!
You really need to try these for yourself. I'm probably going to have to buy a bigger K-Cup holder so I can add my Brew Over Ice K-Cups!
